The term Pachamama is composed of two words of Quechua origin: “Pacha” means universe, world, place and “Mama” means mother. To the Incas, Pachamama is a living earth, the goddess, the protective mother, who begets, nurtures and sustains life.

Pachamama is a project about how life in the Peruvian Andes has barely changed over time.

Modern influences are integrated, but without losing the traditional customs.
